A friend of mine gave me a small assignment to do while touristing in LA:

To visit and photograph a couple of gated communities. Especially if I find signs saying "Armed Response", "Protected By Smith & Wesson", etc.

My friend has been reading papers about gated communities in LA for his political science master's thesis, and wants a bit of reality check... and I suspect, cool photos for the thesis.

It'll be fun. Pointers anyone?
