Bring your best Unity games to Windows Store, and enter our Game Developer Contest to win lovely cash prizes!
Taking your game to Windows is a cinch, and Microsoft has published some handy guidelines to walk you through the process. Once you’re done, publish to Windows Store, and you’ll connect with an audience of over 110 million. Plus, who knows, you could win up to $25,000. Lovely!
We recommend publishing your game to Windows Store by January 27th, 2016
For entering your published game in the contest: February 10th, 2016
If you have not published to the Windows Store before, please allow for several weeks before the January 27, 2016 deadline to submit your game.
Contest winners will be announced on or around March 30th, 2016. Winners will be contacted directly with details on how to collect their prizes.
What will you be judged on?
The judges will be made up of Unity and Microsoft staff and each entry will be scored based upon the following criteria:
Quality of submission (50%)
How polished, detailed and visually appealing is your game? How well do you use special effects, audio and physics to develop immersive gameplay? How intuitive is your user experience? Is the game stable and does it follow best practices for app development?
Creativity and originality (30%)
Is your design based on a new, unique and differentiated idea? Did you create something that pushes the boundaries of imagination?
Technical excellence (20%)
Is your game so fast, fluid and optimized that others will appreciate your craftsmanship skills? Did you leverage Windows platform features such as contracts, touch, game hubs, live tiles, notifications, sensors or speech as applicable, to create engaging interactions? Does your game target multiple devices?
How To Enter

Fill out the fields below with your full name and email address. This will make us aware of your intent to enter the contest, so we can send you further information and Microsoft can email you a unique token to get a Windows Developer account, which you will need to publish your game.
Create or port, using the Development Tools (as defined below), an original game that is playable on Windows Universal Platform. You will also be required to submit your game to the Windows Store and have it published by the end date of the contest in order to qualify.

To participate, entrants must download and build their game using:
Port, get certified, publish
Please allow for sufficient time for your game to be submitted and certified through the Windows Store process, before it is published to the Windows Store. The time required for the process may vary depending on the submission. Once published Microsoft will notify you and you will receive a link to your game in the Windows Store and can proceed to the next step.
Once your Game is published in the Windows Store, visit http://unity3d.com/contest/windows and follow the links and instructions to complete and submit the registration form including your full name, address, country, email address, phone number, a link to your published Game in the Windows Store, the title of your Game, a short description of your Game (100 words or fewer in length), and the device(s) in which your Game targets.
Unity will announce the contest winners on or around March 30th, 2016. All winners will be contacted prior to this date. You will have up to 5 business days to accept the winning prize or it will be forfeited.
I submitted a game before November 1st, 2015 but plan to release an update. Can I enter the contest with the updated release?
What happens if I submit my game to the Windows Store but I do not receive confirmation from Microsoft about the game being published to the Store before the contest ends?
What happens if I submit the app to the Windows Store and it is published but I forget to complete the final step?
