" It's amazing – sometimes using Unity feels so organic and easy that it's like using a "3D-game-sketchpad". I can move ideas from my head to the screen so fast in Unity it's almost scary. "

Unity For The Holidays.

Jingle-jingle...

One of our customers complained that since there's no boxed edition he wouldn't be able put Unity under the Christmas tree for his son. But where there's love there's a way, so we are happy to provide you with these simple instructions on how make a beautiful gift of Unity:

Equipment:

  • 1 color printer with paper
  • 1 knife or scissors
  • 1 CD-burner and an empty CD (a solid color looks best)
  • 1 DVD case, size 5 1/4" x 7 1/2" x 9/16" (that is 133.3 x 190.5 x 14.3 millemeters)
  • (optional) Equipment to print CD labels

Instructions:

  1. Download and print this PDF: US letter or A4 (there are also .EPS versions for US letter and A4, which may work better if the fonts look strange)
  2. Cut it out according to the crop-marks
  3. Slide the page into the DVD case

  4. Download and mount the newest Unity .DMG from the website: unity3d.com/download.html
  5. Burn the files inside on the empty CD
  6. Wrap according to tastes and culture, write loving card and put a fresh serial number on it

  7. (optional) Print this image on the CD: Unity-CD-face.jpg

We are not entirely impartial on this, but we like think that Unity is a brilliant Christmas present for the creative and game-obsessed kids in the family.
